Docktrel Cromartie

Docktrel Cromartie is an associate attorney with Carmel & Reyes, bringing a robust background in regulatory compliance, complex investigations, and commercial dispute resolution. Prior to joining the firm, Docktrel represented corporate entities, financial firms, and industry professionals in private practice.

Docktrel began his legal career developing a deep focus on financial regulation and enforcement actions. While serving in a senior role in FINRA’s Corporate Financing Department, he directed complex investigations into unregistered offerings and evaluated private placements, including private REITs, Qualified Opportunity Zones, and 1031 Exchanges. Docktrel’s knowledge of complex statutory frameworks and real estate offerings enables him to provide strategic counsel to clients navigating intricate regulatory environments.

Docktrel earned his Juris Doctor with a concentration in Business & Finance Law from The George Washington University School of Law and holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation with an emphasis in Financial Services from Boston University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia. Docktrel resides in Virginia and enjoys the great outdoors, attending sporting events, and spending quality time with his children.
